ENHANCING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR DOG
Tired of the same old walks in the park? Tired of playing fetch as your only fun time with your pooch?
Dog Agility is a great way to do something fun with your dog that builds the bond between you and your K9 buddy.
A MORE OBEDIENT,
WELL- TRAINED DOG
As you and your dog become a team, you will be teaching your dog how to figure out what you want him to do. As your skills grow as an agility trainer and your dog starts being successful at offering the behaviours you’ve taught him, this will spill over into your everyday life. Your dog will look at you as his leader and be more inclined to listen to your commands.
ENGAGING YOUR BRAIN WHILE HAVING FUN WITH YOUR DOG
In agility competitions, the order and placement of the obstacles changes each time you run a course. There is a lot of strategy involved so that you can effectively communicate to your dog which obstacle he should be taking next. That’s the fun part for us humans!
STEP-BY-STEP AGILITY INSTRUCTION USING POSITIVE METHODS
Proper foundation training will ensure that you and your dog will have the skills you need to successfully run an agility sequence. Solid foundation training eliminates re-training. There are many facilities that offer agility training but unfortunately many skip the basics and have the dogs barreling through all the obstacles far too soon. The dogs end up frustrated because they have no idea what is expected of them and the owners become frustrated by their lack of success at getting their dogs to understand what they want them to do. I believe one shouldn’t skip the fundamentals. Through step-by-step instruction, I will help you and your agility dog build the skills you need to to be successful.
